vgInteractive: Information

vgInteractive: History of the Project

Initially, Michael Fessenden created the project for the original xbox video game system, and the first mention of it was on the Xbox-scene forums on Oct 7 2006. Though a little progress was done and some simple features such as directional walking was implimented, the project was put on hold for a good two years.

During Michael's senior year of high school, he took a class called Engineering Design and Development, which purpose was to find and solve a problem in the world in a reasonable way. Remembering the project, he chose a related thesis; "First person shooter games with no physical interaction become boring quickly, and do not benifit physical health." The first prototype was quickly created.

vgInteractive: About the Project

The vgInteractive project can be boiled down to one simple idea: video game interaction through physical motions. The project has evolved over time and is continuing to do so; however the main point is still being carried on through the prototypes.

vgInteractive: What it is Now

Since then, the entire project was scrapped and started new. In 2009, Bryan Vandenbrink expressed interest in recreating the project, and Michael and him formed a team. The project is still a collaborative effort between Bryan Vandenbrink and Michael Fessenden, and together, along with help from other various runlevel6 members, the project is progressing twards completion.
